IIA International Conference “Some considerations from an investor’s point of view”

“Being in control” has a different meaning to different stakeholders. Annegien Blokpoel will address this issue from the perspective of the capital markets. The long-term investor of yesterday has changed into a diverse group of different shareholders with different investments styles and horizons. In this workshop the following topics will be reviewed:

• What makes investors tick and how do companies manage the challenge of dealing with all these different stakeholders?
• What is the success story of private equity parties and hedge funds all over Europe and what can companies learn from them?
• What is the current state of best practices in Investor Relations and how can you as an internal auditor make use of them?

Annegien has worked as Director investor relations & corporate communications in two of the major listed companies in the Netherlands, is Counsel to the NEVIR (Dutch IR Society) and executive board member of the International IR Federation.
